Transition from Year 2 - Year 3

What to do when starting Year 3 in September 2020

Welcome

Welcome to Prospect Hill Junior School. We know that things will feel very uncertain for you at the moment but please be assured that lots has been going on behind the scenes to ensure your child has a smooth transition into Year 3.

Normally, we would be holding meetings in the hall where we would introduce ourselves and explain everything in person. Your child would have also had visits to our school. Obviously, we are adapting all of our transition procedures this year due to COVID-19. This page of the website contains lots of useful information including our new transition handbook (with uniform, timings, what to bring to school) plus a video introducing the Year 3 teachers (see below). There will be paper copies arriving in the post next week and another video towards the end of July showing cloakrooms, which doors to use, where to collect your child at the end of the day etc.

We also have a Transition Co-ordinator (Mrs Brayford) who will be happy to help you. Please email office@prospecthill-jun.notts.sch.uk if you want to ask her any questions and she will do her best to support you.

Butterflies - your new teacher will be Mrs O'Brien

Foxes - your new teacher will be Miss Davis

We are really looking forward to seeing you soon!
