Science Week - March 2024
Prospect Junior School have become Scientists for the week!
This year's theme is 'Time' in celebration of British Science Week's 30th Anniversary.
Throughout the week, children have been celebrating Science in different ways. We had a Geologist visit us on Wednesday to teach us all about Fossils, Rocks and Minerals, as well as all about Volcanoes and Earthquakes.
On Thursday, we were able to visit a farm from inside the classroom - a 'live' lesson all about what farm vets do to look after cows on the farms in the UK. We were even lucky enough to watch a cow give birth to a beautiful baby calf!
On Friday, we celebrated different careers in science and children dressed up as scientists. We had palaeontologists, geologists, nurses, dentists, botanists, astronauts and many more.
