Term 2

 

In the Spring term, the school focus is on understanding our place in the wider world and the influence of ancient civilisations. The history topics: ancient Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and Mayans, look at how we can learn from the past and learn from other cultures. The children are encouraged to consider the fairness of different civilisations and relate it back to their modern lives. Map work involves finding the different countries, knowing their neighbouring countries, seas and oceans and looking to see where we fit in on the map of the world.
